  • 1.  What kind of devices does the Scorp Mini 3 Pro work with?
    It supports medium/small size mirrorless cameras, compact digital cameras, action cameras, and smartphones.
  • 2.  How long does it take to fully charge? Does it support fast charging?
    It supports fast charging up to 18W (9V/2A). The full charging time is approximately 2.5 hours.
  • 3.  What are the upgrades compared to the previous generation?
    The main upgrades include:
    - Improved battery life;
    - New phone cooling clamp design;
    - Optimized mounting and balancing structure;
    - Feiyu Remote Control for SCORP 3 Series that can be used as an independent remote control;
    - Upgraded AI tracking algorithm with faster response and wider recognition angle range.

  • 4.  What is the maximum payload of Scorp Mini 3 Pro?
    The maximum payload is 2000g (under the condition of gimbal being properly balanced and calibrated before operation).
  • 5.  What applications should be used with Scorp Mini 3 Pro?
    The following two apps are supported:
    - Feiyu On App (Android/iOS): Suitable for mobile phone shooting, it provides functions such as panoramic photography, time-lapse, Dolly Zoom, gesture control, and intelligent tracking, it also supports gimbal firmware upgrades.
    - Feiyu Scorp App (Android/iOS): Suitable for camera shooting, it supports functions such as time-lapse, motion recording, panoramic photography, and motion-sense control, it also supports gimbal firmware upgrades.
  • 6.  Does the gimbal support stock camera of a smartphone instead of connecting to the Feiyu App?
    Yes. After pairing the Bluetooth, you can directly control the phone's stock camera for shooting. When connected to a GoPro action camera or a mirrorless camera that is compatible (via USB cable or Bluetooth), it can also control the camera's shooting function (please refer to the camera compatibility list for specific compatibility).
  • 7.  The gimbal quickly shuts down automatically after turning on. How to solve this problem?
    Please check the battery level, if the shutdown is due to low battery, recharge the battery and restart. If the problem persists, please contact after-sales service.
  • 8.  The gimbal is in sleep mode after turning on. How to wake it up?
    Follow these steps:
    - First make sure that all three motor locks are unlocked, then press the power button to wake it up;
    - If there is still no response, enter the screen menu, swipe from right to left, and select "Gimbal Settings" > "Horizontal Calibration" for automatic calibration.
  • 9.  The gimbal vibrates or wobbles after the first power-on or after switching to another camera. How to solve this problem?
    Please follow these steps to troubleshoot:
    - Make sure that the motor knobs are all tightened;
    - Go to “Motor Power”setting and choose “Auto Tune”option. For telephoto lenses, please use the lens holder;
    - If the problem persists, go to motor power setting and manually reduce the strength of the motors.

  • 10.  Does the gimbal support power supply to the camera?
    It depends on whether the camera supports it or not.
  • 11.  It is hard to slide the arms when balancing a relatively heavy camera. Any tricks recommended?
    Lift the support arm to reduce friction, then move the arm to balance the camera, lock the clip after balancing completes.
  • 12.  What is the maximum control distance of each remote control device?
    The control distances are as follows:
    - Feiyu Scorp App remote control: 18 meters (actual distance is affected by the environment and devices);
    - Feiyu Remote Control for SCORP 3 Series: 12 meters;
  • 13.  After being turned on, the gimabl is not level but it takes a while to become level. How to solve this problem?
    Go to “Gimbal Settings”> “Horiz calibration”and tap on“Auto calibration”.
  • 14.  There’s no gimbal Bluetooth appear on the Bluetooth list or in the app, how to solve this problem?
    Follow these steps:
    - Check if the gimbal is already connected to another device, if so, disconnect it first, then try connecting again;
    - Clear the Bluetooth pairing records on the gimbal, then restart and reconnect;
    - If the problem still persists, try to restore the gimbal to factory settings.
  • 15.  How to clear Bluetooth pairing information?
    Follow these steps:
    - To clear the pairing with a mobile phone/GoPro: Push the joystick down and triple-click the power button;
    - To clear the pairing with a mirrorless camera: Push the joystick up and triple-click the power button;
    - Note: After clearing on the gimbal, clear the pairing records on the device that you want to pair as well.
  • 16.  How many face-tracking modes does the gimbal support?
    There are two face-tracking modes:
    - Face tracking through the Feiyu On App;
    - Built-in tracking module on the gimbal (without the Feiyu app).
  • 17.  How to start face-tracking on the Feiyu On App?
    There are three ways to start face-tracking:
    - Manually selecting a face on the frame;
    - Enabling gesture recognition function in the app setting menu and start tracking with an "OK" gesture;
    - Single-click the trigger button to start tracking.
  • 18.  How to activate and use the built-in AI tracking on the gimbal?
    Follow the steps below:
    Toggle on the AI Power option, then make an "OK" gesture or long-press the F1 button in front of the AI sensor.
  • 19.  When connecting to a Fujifilm/Panasonic camera, the gimbal screen does not show the connection status. Is this normal?
    (1) For cameras that are connected via 2.5/3.5mm jack, it does not support switching between video and photo modes from the gimbal, so you need to switch on the camera.
    (2) For these kinds of cameras, it is normal that no camera icon shows up on the gimbal screen, although you can still trigger the shutter/record from the gimbal.
  • 20.  How to check the firmware version of the gimbal?
    There are two ways to check the firmware info:
    - Swipe left on the home page, tap on "More" > "Version Information";
    - Check through the "Version Information" menu in the Feiyu Scorp App or Feiyu On App.
  • 21.  What to do if the Bluetooth firmware upgrade fails or the app cannot connect to Wi-Fi?
    Solutions:
    (1) Make sure the WiFi SSID contains no characters besides English characters, otherwise it will not be shown up in the app; make sure the gimbal is in the WiFi coverage area; make sure that your WiFi network is working normally; Make sure the bandwidth of the WiFi is 2.4GHz rather than 5GHz.
    (2) Unlike other kinds of firmware, Bluetooth firmware is upgraded through WiFi network, so you need to enter the correct password of your WiFi. Make sure the password contains no spaces, otherwise it will not connect successfully.
    (3) If the update process fails, please restart the gimbal and the APP and try to update again. Or switch to another WiFi network and update the Bluetooth firmware again.
  • 22.  How do I use the Bluetooth setting option?
    Function descriptions: - The gimbal supports three Bluetooth modes, which are for controlling mobile phone, GoPro, and mirrorless camera;
    - When controlling a camera, the "Camera Control" option must be enabled.
  • 23.  Does the gimbal support controlling multiple GoPros simultaneously?
    No, it only connects and controls one device at a time.
  • 24.  How to switch connection between different GoPro devices?
    Follow these steps:
    - Reset all connections in the target GoPro;
    - Manually pair the gimbal with the new device.
  • 25.  Which Feiyu App can be used simultaneously when the gimbal is connecting to a mirrorless camera?
    It supports connection to the Feiyu Scorp App, but not the Feiyu On App.
  • 26.  How to force shutdown?
    Follow these steps:
    - When the Feiyu Remote Control for SCORP 3 Series is not detached, press the wheel function button and the shutter button at the same time;
    - When the Feiyu Remote Control for SCORP 3 Series is detached, long-press the F1 button and the M button at the same time.
  • 27.  After clearing Bluetooth pairing, the Feiyu Remote Control for SCORP 3 Series cannot reconnect. How to solve this?
    Perform a factory reset on the gimbal to re-establish the connection.
  • 28.  What does the maximum payload of 2.0kg specifically mean?
    This is the maximum weight that the motor can carry under laboratory test conditions. The actual supported devices should refer to the camera compatibility list on FeiyuTech official website.
  • 29.  How long is the battery life of the gimbal?
    Function descriptions: - With AI function off: approximately 17 hours;
    - With AI function on: approximately 14 hours.
  • 30.  How to reset the gimbal position when the Feiyu Remote Control for SCORP 3 Series is detached and used as a remote control?
    Double-click the M button on the Feiyu Remote Control for SCORP 3 Series to recenter the gimbal.
  • 31.  How to reframe during AI tracking?
    Two methods are provided:
    - Manually adjust by pushing the joystick;
    - Adjust the composition after raising“double-L”gestures.
